The Philadelphia 76ers suffered a tough blow when Kelly Oubre Jr. suffered an unfortunate rib injury.

The newest Sixer was hit by a car while out in Philadelphia.

He suffered a fractured rib and has not played since November 10.

But Oubre has since returned to practice over the past week and is expected to return to game action soon.

According to Shams Charania, Oubre is aiming to return to the floor next week.

It seems like his most likely return dates are next Wednesday or Friday.

Oubre has been great for the 76ers this season.

He is averaging 16.3 points per game along with 5.0 rebounds and shooting 50% from the field.

The 76ers have missed his scoring ability and he will be a welcome sign back to the starting lineup.

Through the first 18 games of the season, the 76ers look like legitimate contenders.

As most know the Eastern Conference is weak but the 76ers look like one team that can win it.

Outside of reigning MVP Joel Embiid, the 76ers have one of the most improved players in basketball in Tyrese Maxey.

He has all the makings of his first All-Star appearance.

The 76ers front office has done a good job of surrounding their two stars with quality role players.

Oubre is one of those players and he has played a major role on the Sixers this year.

It will be fun to see the 76ers back to full strength as they continue to build chemistry early in the season.
