The Philadelphia Eagles might be the most underrated or overlooked 10-1 team in NFL history.

They’ve been dominant and solid on both sides of the field, and a lot of that has had to do with coaching.

That’s why NFL analyst James Palmer believes HC Nick Sirianni should get more credit and recognition, especially considering the fact that he lost both coordinators ahead of this campaign.

Palmer explained how the Eagles spend more time than any other team in the league practicing situational football, which is one of the keys to their success, as they often end halves and games in a strong fashion.

Really how good of a coaching job has Nick Sirianni done this year? The #eagles head coach is a candidate for coach of the year and deserves his flowers.

More than that, Palmer talked about the fact that the Eagles are the only team in the league with a winning record when trailing at halftime (5-0), meaning Sirianni often finds ways to adjust and win football games.

The Eagles are not crushing their opponents the same way they did last season, and they’ve starred in close games more often than they would like.

Then again, even when they don’t get off to a strong start, they still make sound adjustments, don’t panic, and scrape their way into a win, which is why Sirianni deserves Coach of the Year consideration.

The Eagles will go through their toughest task of the season yet on Sunday.

They’ll host the San Francisco 49ers’ juggernaut as 2.5-point favorites, but Sirianni has beaten them four times in a row, including last season’s NFC Championship Game.
