The Minnesota Timberwolves have become the best team in the Western Conference with a remarkable 14-4 record.
Despite worries about this team because of last season, the Timberwolves are now better than a number of NBA franchises, including the reigning champion Denver Nuggets.
The entire roster has shown up in a big way in 2023-24, including Karl-Anthony Towns.
According to StatMuse, Towns is averaging 21.8 points and 9.1 rebounds this season and is the only starter with a 50/40/90% split.

Statistically, this isn’t the best season of Towns’ career, but there is no doubt that his team is doing better than ever.
He has been with the Timberwolves since he entered the league back in 2015 and they have never looked so strong, so dominant, and so ready to reach the playoffs.
Fans were hoping for big things from Minnesota last season, especially with the addition of big man Rudy Gobert.
The idea of Gobert playing alongside Towns and Anthony Edwards was exciting and people thought they’d be unstoppable and capable of shutting down just about any team.
But last season ended with a lot of disharmony on the team and only a brief stay in the playoffs.
There were people calling on the team to make big changes in the summer, with some pleading for a trade that would drop Gobert even though he had only been there for one season.
The team stayed the course and stuck with the lineup they had and that seems to have been the right choice.
Towns is just one of the many players in Minnesota who is playing very well and the team is greatly benefitting from that.
