Over the past few weeks, rumors have started to swirl about the Chicago Bulls potentially being ready to blow up their roster in order to start a rebuild, with their best players available on the NBA trade market.

Although there’s been a lot of trade buzz about veteran Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan potentially getting moved before the NBA trade deadline in February, the biggest name in Chicago that is expected to get moved is Zach LaVine.

LaVine has been the Bulls’ best player for the last couple of years, but he has been unable to get Chicago back on the right track, and as a result, he is the best trade chip the team has at the moment.

Unfortunately for the Bulls, it seems that no teams around the league who need another scorer of his caliber are willing to take on the rest of his contract.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, there’s no market for LaVine in the league right now, which isn’t great news for the Bulls if they intend to rebuild, via NBA on ESPN.

Even though LaVine is a talented scorer and could help out a title-contending team as a second or third option, the three years left on his current deal are more than likely scaring teams away.

LaVine is set to earn $43 million next season, $45.9 million the season after that, and then he’s got a player option at $48.9 for the 2026-27 NBA season, which is a tough pill to swallow if he doesn’t turn out to be a game-changer for the team that trades for him.

Only time will tell what the future holds for LaVine and the Bulls, but right now, it looks like the two sides might be stuck with one another.
