The Phoenix Suns are hoping that the 2023-24 NBA season is finally the year they bring home the franchise’s first NBA championship.
The Suns are all-in on their current roster after Suns governor Mat Ishbia approved a pair of blockbuster deals since taking over the team.
Phoenix finally pulled the trigger on a massive trade to bring in Kevin Durant who is having another stellar season.
Durant remains one of the premier scorers in the league and his pairing with Devin Booker gives the Suns arguably the most potent offensive duo in the NBA.
The two-time champion doesn’t look any worse for wear despite getting up there in age, though even he was wrapped up this past weekend waiting to see who would make the college football playoffs.
Durant’s alma mater Texas was selected for the postseason and the NBA superstar reacted via his personal Twitter account.

Washington and Michigan were considered favorites to make the CFP given they went undefeated, while Texas and Alabama had weaker cases.
However, the Longhorns made the cut over teams like FSU and Georgia who had compelling cases of their own yet got left off by the committee.
Texas went 12-1 during the season, with their lone loss coming against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry game.
However, it seems that the committee placed a lot of weight on their September road win against Alabama.
Durant, like the numerous other alumni, has to be pleased to see the Longhorns competing for a national title and it should be an exciting round of games when they kick off.
