Mike Evans entered the 2023 NFL Season with ambiguity surrounding him.

He made several comments in the offseason indicating that this could be his last year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fans were worried that the team might trade him or that Evans would sit out due to his unhappiness.

This was a concerning possibility, especially considering the NFL record looming over his head.

Thankfully for fans, Evans has played his heart out this season and has now broken that record, as Ari Meirov recently highlighted.

#Bucs WR Mike Evans has now started his NFL career with 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons, extending his own record.

No player in NFL history has had more than 6.

Mike Evans & Keenan Allen are the most under-appreciated receivers of our generation

Mike Evans will also most likely reach a 100 TD’s. He might not have had the heights some other receivers had like Julio Jones, AB but he did outlast and is currently making history. He’s is the most consistent wide receiver in his generation

Evans made history this past weekend, achieving 1,000 receiving yards for the tenth straight season.

He is the only player to have a streak of this magnitude, as Meirov indicates.

Evans has been one of the most dominant receivers in the league over the past decade, and this recent accolade indicates his consistency.

He has played with multiple quarterbacks, including Tom Brady, Jameis Winston, and, most recently, Baker Mayfield.

There were a lot of questions about Mayfield heading into the year and whether he could support Evans and his quest for another 1,000-yard season.

Mayfield has been more than up to the task.

Evans hit the 1,000-yard mark with five games to be played in the regular season.

Any additional yardage he secures this year will be icing on the cake for a record-breaking campaign.

While Evans has achieved history, fans might still be worried about his future with the team.

If the Buccaneers do not make a deep playoff run, Evans could leave in the offseason, hoping to sign with a contender to better his chances of getting another ring.
