After a stunning 17-game losing streak, many people are wondering what the Detroit Pistons will do to right all the wrongs, fix their problems, and attempt to find some sliver of optimism.
They have a few options but there is one thing the team definitely will not do: panic.
According to the Detroit Free Press, via NBACentral, the Pistons are “reluctant to hit the panic button and would like to see their roster gel.”
Apparently, the front office believes cohesion of the team is most important and they want to see if that can come with three-fourths of the season remaining.
They also believe the return of Bojan Bogdanovic could help Cade Cunningham and will also “give the team the firepower needed to be more competitive in tight games late.”

The Pistons are taking a wait-and-see approach to their problems which might not sound great to fans who are tired of watching their team lose.
However, Detroit doesn’t have a lot of choices because they are so far behind and their chances of making the playoffs are practically nonexistent.
Plus, the front office is right to have belief in this team.
There are multiple bright young stars on the roster, including Cunningham, Ausar Thompson, Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivey, and others.
The team’s new head coach, Monty Williams, is a valuable asset too.
As of now, all of that talent and potential isn’t enough to secure the team wins but it could all be very beneficial in the future, it just might not be the near future.
At this point, it’s hard to imagine how things could get any worse for the Pistons.
So their decision to not panic and ride out the storm is probably the smartest move they could make.
