The NBA’s In-Season Tournament has been a major success thus far.
That’s why Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson took to Twitter to congratulate NBA Commissioner Adam Silver over the decision to celebrate this tournament, adding that it’s been quite exciting and you can tell that the players have been heavily invested in it.

Truth be told, it’s hard not to be invested when you’re offered that much money and a weekend in Las Vegas on top of your astronomically high salary.
It’s great that the league took this idea from soccer to make it more appealing for the fans and the players and give back some value to the regular season.
Then again, the regular season should’ve never lost it’s importance in the first place.
Playoff seeding always matters and teams should always have an interest in putting forth their best effort and not resting stars during the season.
This was a great temporary solution for the load management issue, and we can only hope that the players will continue to take the regular-season seriously leading to the Play-In Tournament, even if there’s not a huge check and a trip to Sin City waiting for them at the end of the tunnel.
