The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing in the finals of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.
The Purple and Gold clinched their spot in the finals following a blowout victory against the New Orleans Pelicans.
LeBron James spearheaded the win against the Pelicans with a stellar 30-point performance in just 23 minutes of playing time.
Upon seeing James’ record-breaking performance, many have praised the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
Former Boston Celtics champion Brian Scalabrine went as far as saying that LeBron James has somehow become a better player than he was when he joined the Lakers in 2018 via SiriusXM NBA Radio on Twitter.
“He looks better than he did when he first got to the Lakers,” Scalabrine said.

When James arrived at the Lakers, he was coming off arguably the greatest postseason run by an individual player in NBA history.
Moreover, it didn’t take long for James to lead the Lakers to an NBA Championship.
But since the phenomenal 2020 championship run, James struggled a bit due to several injuries.
Even in the 2022-23 NBA season, James was visibly hurt during the postseason, but still helped the Lakers reach the Western Conference Finals.
With James about to turn 39 years old later this month, he is playing arguably the best basketball of his Lakers career.
The four-time NBA MVP is averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game for the Lakers this season.
As a result, the Lakers are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 14-9 record.
If James can continue playing at this level in Year 21, he will not only help the Lakers win the NBA In-Season Tournament, but also lift the Larry O’Brien trophy.
