One of the most popular platforms in professional sports these days is podcasts, with every prominent athlete in all the major sports leagues in this country seemingly having their own podcast.

A podcast is a great way for professional athletes to speak their minds without a filter while also building a brand that can become very lucrative, which has been the case with “New Heights” featuring Jason and Travis Kelce.

Apparently, one-time NBA champion and future Hall of Famer Dwight Howard wants to start his own podcast and already knows who he wants to be his first guest on the show.

Howard took to Twitter and let it be known that he wants five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman on the show first.

Someone tell Denis Rodman I need him to be the first guest on my podcast

After a successful second stint with the Los Angeles Lakers that resulted in a title won in the NBA bubble in 2020, Howard’s basketball career took a different turn as he was forced to play overseas in Taiwan.

Even though Howard has tried multiple times to get back on an NBA team, his efforts have fallen short, and he may finally be coming to grips with the fact that his playing days are likely coming to an end.

As for Rodman, his playing career came to an end in a similar way, as he had to play in different countries, including Mexico and England.

Rodman was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2011, while Howard has to wait a little bit longer before he’s eligible to get the call to be inducted, which he almost certainly will get in the near future.
