There was a time in the NBA when most players started losing their touch after entering their 30s.
Sure, there were a few outliers, such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, but most players were unable to play well into their 30s.
In today’s NBA, the trio of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry are constantly proving that age is just a number.
Former NBA player and champion Dwight Howard recently supported the statement and claimed the NBA is no longer about age via his official Twitter handle.
“It’s not about age anymore nobody loses they skill,” Howard said.

Howard firmly believes that those days are gone when the age of a player matters.
While Howard gave the example of James, Durant, and Curry, the three superstars can certainly be considered as exceptions.
After all, it’s only natural for any NBA player to show signs of decline with age.
The clear difference between James, Durant, and Curry and the rest of the NBA is the fact that they have other tools in their arsenal to make up for their slight flaws.
James is currently the oldest player in the league and is averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game for the Los Angeles Lakers.
On the other hand, Durant is averaging 31.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game for the Phoenix Suns this season.
Last, but certainly not least, Curry is putting up 29.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game for the Golden State Warriors during the 2023-24 NBA season.
