The Los Angeles Lakers have been stellar outside of hitting a few bumps during the 2023-24 NBA season.
One of the Lakers’ most embarrassing games this season was the 44-point defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Prior to the game, Philadelphia 76ers big man Paul Reed went out of his way to disrespect Anthony Davis by calling him a flopper.
However, Reed seemingly made things clear as he pointed out that he never meant to call Davis a flopper via NBACentral on Twitter.
“Come on bro. I play with Joel, bruh,” Reed said.

Reed pointed out that he could have worded his statement in a much better way, and it could have saved him a lot of trouble.
He clarified his comment, claiming all he wanted to do was point out that there are several players in the league who can draw a foul when required.
The 76ers’ backup center bolstered his point by saying that he knows it better than anybody since he shares the court with Joel Embiid.
Embiid has a notorious reputation for flopping during games to earn foul calls in his favor.
While Reed most likely didn’t mean to call his teammate out, it could certainly be perceived that way on social media and stir up another controversy.
