The Baltimore Ravens avoided a serious injury to their defense Sunday after safety Kyle Hamilton left Week 14 with a knee injury.
He reportedly suffered a grade 1 MCL sprain and his availability for the rest of the season remains unclear.
However, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh noted that while Hamilton’s timeline to return isn’t set in stone, he could suit up in Week 15 despite the injury.
“Looks like he will be day-to-day,” Harbaugh said Monday. “… He’ll have a chance to play in this [Week 15] game.”

The Ravens will need Hamilton in their pursuit of an AFC North title and the No. 1 seed in the conference.
Baltimore will face the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins in the following three weeks before they take on their divisional foe in the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18.
Hamilton will be a big part of their ability to stop opposing offenses, as he’s tallied two interceptions, nine pass break-ups, three sacks, 69 combined tackles and one forced fumble.
If he can’t go, backup safety Geno Stone would likely replace Hamilton in the starting lineup.
Stone is having a solid season himself with a team-high and career-high six interceptions and eight pass-break-ups.
Hamilton, though, was just coming into his own during his second year after the Ravens drafted him with the No. 14 pick in 2022.
The hope is he can heal up to at least play a Jaguars team that has lost its past two games and could lose the AFC South in the process.
But the Ravens may not want to rush their young safety back with the playoffs nearly in sight.
