Now that Shohei Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers instead of the Toronto Blue Jays (as initially thought), we can go ahead and look at some crucial dates for the two-way star in 2024.

Fans will pay close to attention to his every move, but these dates will represent must-watch events for true baseball fans, per MLB on Twitter.

Spring training’s first game will have the Dodgers playing an NL West foe, the San Diego Padres, on February 22.

It will be our first chance to see Ohtani play a live game in his new uniform.

As part of MLB’s 2024 World Tour, the Dodgers and Padres will play the Seoul Series in South Korea starting on March 20.

That will be the first regular-season game Ohtani plays with a uniform different than the Los Angeles Angels’ one.

Fans in Dodger Stadium will get the first chance to watch the 2021 and 2023 AL MVP on March 28 during the home opener.

He then will play his first career game at Wrigley Field in April 5, and will face reigning NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. and the Atlanta Braves on May 3.

On June 7, the Dodgers will visit Yankee Stadium to play Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees.

That same month, on the 21st, he will play against the Angels for the first time.

That game will be at Dodger Stadium, but on September 3, he will visit Angel Stadium as an opponent for the first time, potentially breaking a few hearts in the process.

Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700 million contract that makes him the highest paid athlete in American professional sports history.
