The biggest signing of the offseason already occurred in Major League Baseball.

Everyone wanted to know where two-time MVP Shohei Ohtani would end up.

He chose to move across Los Angeles from the Angels to the Dodgers.

Ohtani signed a record-breaking deal worth $700 million over 10 years.

Being a two-way player is something we have not seen since Babe Ruth.

Ohtani has done it better than anyone else.

He is arguably a top-10 hitter and pitcher in baseball.

Which is why he got payed to be elite at both.

Even though Ohtani cannot pitch next year due to elbow surgery, he is still valuable as a designated hitter.

A lot must go into a contract like the one that Ohtani signed.

According to Alden Gonzalez, there are no opt-outs in the Ohtani deal.

We have seen plenty of contracts where a player can opt out after a certain number of years.

But, Ohtani was not given that luxury.

He wants to stay with the Dodgers for the remainder of his career.

The Dodgers are one of the best teams in the league each year.

They consistently have one of the top records in baseball and are World Series contenders.

Having such a massive payroll is what keeps them competitive.

Ohtani should have the opportunity to play in the playoffs for the first time next season.

Baseball is better when the star players are playing on the biggest stage.

The Dodgers now have arguably the best lineup in baseball for many years to come.
