One of the biggest stories during the 2023 NFL offseason was DeAndre Hopkins.

With the Arizona Cardinals seemingly in for another down year, many expected him to get traded to a contending team.

However, after not finding a trade partner, the Cardinals released him, and he decided to sign with the Tennessee Titans.

This was considered a controversial move for Hopkins at the time, given the public opinion of the Titans.

He hasn’t necessarily had a career year, but his impact on this team is well-defined.

Hopkins’ greatness was displayed in the Titans’ recent win over the Miami Dolphins.

After putting this performance together, Hopkins spoke with Cameron Wolfe on the sidelines, who asked him about his big game.

Hopkins responded, “Feels great, especially [to] all the teams that wrote me off, said I wasn’t no good, that I couldn’t get open.”

He did not have a problem getting open against the Dolphins, putting up seven catches for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Hopkins performed when the team needed the most, especially against a team like the Dolphins.

From a standings perspective, the Dolphins needed this win a lot more than the Titans did.

A win would have tied them for the best record in the AFC, keeping themselves in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 seed in the conference.

However, with a combination of solid defense by the Titans and an ever-developing connection between Hopkins and Will Levis, they were able to come away with a win.

Hopkins believes he is on the right team at this point in his career.

After seeing this legacy performance, fans of other teams are likely frustrated with their favorite front offices, wondering why they didn’t take a chance at Hopkins.
