The Detroit Pistons or San Antonio Spurs are making history, but not for the right reasons.

This record isn’t about having the youngest team or the most first-round picks on the court or whatnot.

According to NBA on ESPN, it’s actually the first time that two teams are riding a 17-game losing streak or worse at the same time.

The Pistons have dropped 20 consecutive games, all while the Spurs have dropped 17 in a row.

No team has ever lost more than 28 games in a row, and judging by the way the Pistons are playing, that streak could be in jeopardy.

The Spurs weren’t expected to be competitive at all this season, not even with Victor Wembanyama being at his best.

Even so, it’ll always be odd to see a team coached by Gregg Popovich going through such a major drought, regardless of the roster he’s coaching.

As for the Pistons, they were supposed to take a leap forward with Cade Cunningham back to full strength and their stud youngsters, not to mention the fact that Monty Williams would be there to help turn the culture around.

That hasn’t been the case at all, and even though they have some of the most talented and promising players in the game, they just can’t seem to be competitive, especially in crunch time.
