The Miami Dolphins were upset by the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.
For a team that still has a chance for a first-round bye in the playoffs, this is not the result they were hoping for.
After this surprising loss, Mike McDaniel was asked about his thoughts on the team and how they could move forward.
As shared by journalist Omar Kelly, McDaniel said, “It’s a humbling game, and you think you’re a good football team, but each and every week, you have to prove that on the field.”
“You can do one or two things with a loss like this…I would expect whatever things might have not been done, the guys will rise to the occasion. It’s a humbling game and you think you’re a good football team, but each and every week you have to prove that on the field,” McDaniel

McDaniel understands that the Dolphins have put together a good record but cannot rest on their laurels.
For a team with aspirations to go deep into the playoffs, they cannot take their feet off the gas, especially against opponents like the Titans.
Hopefully, this will be a wake-up call for this roster, and McDaniel will empower his players to take charge for the rest of the year.
Otherwise, the Dolphins could be a one-and-done team again this season.
They have one of the AFC’s most complete rosters on both sides of the ball.
Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa have found themselves in the heart of the MVP conversation, which has boded well for this team.
However, the Dolphins tend to struggle when one or both players have a down game, as evidenced against the Titans.
How the Dolphins respond in the next few weeks could be a telltale sign about the kind of playoff team they can be this season.
