The Chicago Bulls have been struggling to be a good team in the Eastern Conference for the better half of the last decade.

The Bulls have made just one playoff and Play-In Tournament appearance over the last six seasons.

Considering the team has a core of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic, one would have expected the organization to be better over the past few years.

Things haven’t exactly gone to plan for the Bulls, but the organization is yet to give up.

In fact, the Bulls are currently scanning the open market to trade for a win-now player, as per Michael Scotto via NBACentral on Twitter.

“They’re looking for players that can help them win now and maybe a pick down the line if they can add to their cupboard,” Scotto said about the Bulls’ plans.

On top of trading for a win-now player, the Bulls are also in search of a deal that can get them a future draft pick as well.

To be honest, as of now, no player that fits that criteria is available on the trade market.

But even if such a player were available, it would have made no sense for the Bulls to trade away their current assets for the said player.

After all, the Bulls are currently the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-15 record this season.

A better plan for the Bulls will be to trade away players like LaVine and DeRozan in exchange for draft assets.

It will allow the organization to rebuild the team from the scratch and potentially compete for an NBA Championship in the future.
