Joel Embiid has big plans for his Philadelphia 76ers this season.

The reigning MVP is happy with winning individual awards but what he really wants is very clear: he desires his first NBA title.

“I want it all. I want to win a championship,” Embiid told Tyrese Maxey on the latest episode of “Maxey on the Mic,” via the NBA’s Twitter account.

He then said that he is willing to do “whatever is necessary” to make sure his team claims their first championship together.

The new Maxey on the Mic features a conversation between @TyreseMaxey and @JoelEmbiid on what they hope the @sixers can accomplish this season.

In many ways, Embiid had the best season of his career last year.

But he is actually doing even better in 2023-24.

The big man is currently averaging 33.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game, which are all higher than last season.

Does that mean he is on his way to back-to-back MVP trophies?

Most betting sites predict that he currently has the best chance of winning Most Valuable Player, but a lot can change between now and the end of the season.

Of course, winning MVP doesn’t matter as much as winning the NBA Finals with his squad.

For years now, Embiid has made it abundantly clear that this is his biggest goal and he is eager for it.

If that’s going to happen, he will have to rely on Maxey a lot.

Maxey has been having the best season of his career with a 27-point, 6.7-assist average, easily filling the void left behind by James Harden’s departure.

Right now the Sixers are the fourth-best team in the East but will they be able to rally into the postseason and Finals and give Embiid his biggest wish?
