Eric Gordon is playing some of the greatest basketball of his career during his first season with the Phoenix Suns.
Due to his experience, basketball IQ, and skills, several teams would have been happy to sign Gordon in the offseason but he was excited to play in Phoenix because of the partnership of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Talking to J.J. Redick on The Old Man & The Three, Gordon said he was attracted to Booker and Durant’s camaraderie and encouraging relationship.
During the playoffs last season, Gordon was very impressed by “how [Booker and Durant] kind of embrace each other.”
“A lot of stars, they don’t really embrace each other,” he added.
Kevin Durant and Devin Booker’s relationship is one of the main reasons @TheofficialEG10 decided to sign with the Suns.

Booker and Durant are undoubtedly one of the most powerful duos in the NBA.
They both have supreme skills, of course, but one of the things that makes Booker and Durant so impressive is how much they support each other and work well together.
They can excellently read one another and are great at complementing each other.
They are two of the best players alive but they like to work as a unit, which is very attractive to Gordon.
He has seen many teams where the best players work individually and don’t strive to be cohesive with their teammates.
The only problem is that Booker and Durant haven’t been able to play together as much as fans had hoped due to a series of injuries.
Gordon and the entire fanbase want to see a lot more of these two on the floor together.
As for Gordon, he is scoring 14.2 points 2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, which are some of his highest numbers in years.
