Many legendary baseball players are trying to squeeze every last drop out of their baseball careers.

One player who is past his prime but wants to continue to pitch is Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw has battled numerous injuries over the last few seasons.

But, when he is on the mound he is still effective.

Kershaw is coming off shoulder surgery which he got after the season ended.

He would not have done that if he did not plan to pitch again.

According to Fabian Ardaya, Kershaw said he “feels great” and is still deciding where he will pitch next season.

Clayton Kershaw just told @THEREAL_DV on @AM570LASports that he is still contemplating where he will pitch next season.

Said he “feels great” five weeks out from shoulder surgery and will be back this summer “at some point.”

Kershaw has spent every year of his 16-year career with the Dodgers.

He has won an MVP and three Cy Young awards and has been named to 10 All-Star teams.

It would be weird to see him pitch for a team that isn’t wearing Dodger blue.

Entering his age-36 season, Kershaw must decide what is best for his career.

If he wants to win another World Series, the Dodgers would be the best team for him to achieve that.

But, there may be other teams that are willing to pay him more than the Dodgers.

Last season, Kershaw logged 131.2 innings to an ERA of 2.46.

It seems like every year he is on the mound he is effective.

Even though Kershaw can no longer be counted on to be healthy for a full season, when he does pitch he is usually effective.

The last game Kershaw pitched was in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

It was a disaster as he only got one out and gave up six runs.

It is hard to believe that is the way the legendary lefty wants to end his Dodger career.
