It’s not only the fans of the Boston Celtics who love Jayson Tatum, fellow players on the team cherish him too.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Celtics star Derrick White spoke about that power and the skill of Tatum.
“He’s a special player, top-five player,” White said.
He added: “All the defenses are keyed on him…he’ll make the right play, he’ll make the right pass.”
“Having a guy that’ll do everything for us on both sides of the ball is special,” White added.

Hosts Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine claimed that Tatum is looking better this year than he has in the past.
White agreed and said that Tatum is “never satisfied with what he’s accomplished in the past” and is always looking to improve his game and provide more for the team.
Like many others, White has been impressed by Tatum’s gradual and nonstop progression over the last few years.
White is now enjoying his third season with the Celtics and is doing more than ever before.
Since earning his spot in the starting lineup, White has averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
Now that he’s a starter, White has had a lot more time on the floor with Tatum, allowing him to get up close to his greatness.
After some trades and adjustments, the Celtics have a starting five that is better than it has been in years.
Along with White and Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis are all part of the team’s core.
The Celtics are holding onto a 17-5 record and the top seed in the East, partly because of Tatum’s greatness.
Even though the squad has multiple terrific players, everyone agrees that Tatum is at the center of it all.
