The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are suddenly in a solid position to take over the NFC South as they had a convincing win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
The Buccaneers beat the Packers in Lambeau Field to the tune of 34-20, an impressive showing considering they’ve been inconsistent throughout the season.
Tampa Bay actually trailed at the end of the first quarter, but went into halftime with a slight 13-10 lead after scoring 10 points in the second quarter.
However, they turned things up in the third as they scored two touchdowns and never looked back the rest of the way.
Baker Mayfield had arguably his best game as the starting quarterback for the Buccaneers as he threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns.
Mayfield spoke about the offense’s success after the game and called it their best effort to date via CBS.
“The most complete game offensively we’ve played,” Mayfield said.

It’s hard to argue with Mayfield’s assessment considering how well he was throwing the football.
The former No. 1 overall pick has had a resurgent year in Tampa Bay and he showed the connection he has with all the receiving weapons on the offensive side of the field.
With the NFC South so bunched up in the standings, it’s still almost anyone’s division to take down the stretch.
However, with their defense and the offense clicking like it has been Tampa Bay might be considered the favorites to claim the division crown following the conclusion of Week 18.
For now, though, Buccaneers fans will happily take the win.
