With three games left in the NFL regular season after Week 15, the NFL MVP race is starting to heat up, with some players starting to separate themselves from the pack while others have begun to slip out of contention for the regular-season award.
On Sunday, Dak Prescott had tremendous pressure on him to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a win on the road against a resurgent Buffalo Bills team led by superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
Unfortunately for Prescott, the Cowboys not only embarrassingly lost this game, but the quarterback for America’s Team has arguably been knocked out of contention for NFL MVP due to one of his worst performances of the season thus far.
However, Allen threw for only 94 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys while adding a rushing touchdown to his stat line for the day.
Obviously, it didn’t matter because the Bills ran the football down their throats on Sunday, with running back James Cooks rushing for 179 yards and a touchdown.
However, Mike Greenberg of ESPN believes that if the Bills somehow come out on top in the AFC East division, Allen will be the MVP of the league.
Safe to say – Dak for MVP takes a huge hit with the #Cowboys today.
And #Dolphins dominant without Tyreek.
So, right now it feels like Brock Purdy’s award. #Niners
But if #Bills win AFC East, which they very well might, Josh Allen is the MVP.

Admittedly, the Miami Dolphins have a difficult schedule to finish out the 2023 NFL regular season, as they’ll face the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and Bills in consecutive weeks.
There’s a chance that everything could fall apart for Tua Tagovailoa and company, especially if Tyreek Hill can’t bounce back from his ankle injury quickly, but it’s still a stretch they won’t win the division crown.
