During the NBA offseason, the Phoenix Suns made another bold move to keep up with all the movement that was happening around the league from teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.
After acquiring superstar forward Kevin Durant in a trade last year, the team decided to bring in another star player in order to build a formidable trio in Phoenix by acquiring talented scorer Bradley Beal in a trade with the Washington Wizards.
Initially, the blockbuster trade was thought to take the Suns another step closer to being a legitimate title contender in the Western Conference, but so far, it has led to only disappointment for Frank Vogel and company, with Beal’s availability being sorely lacking.
Since being traded to the Suns over the summer, Beal has played in only six games for Phoenix, and it appears he’ll miss quite a few more games after recently suffering a right ankle sprain that will keep him out until at least the beginning of next year, according to NBA on ESPN.

As of Monday, the Suns are only two games above .500 with a record of 14-12, which obviously isn’t where the team wanted to be after making game-changing moves in consecutive seasons while also hiring a championship-caliber head coach in Vogel.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for the Suns moving forward, as this team might not be good enough to contend with the best of the best the league has to offer this season, with health being a major issue.
