The Miami Heat are in a very weird spot right now, because some people are impressed by how they are performing and others feel they still need a few tweaks before they will be able to return to the NBA Finals.
There is no doubt that they are a team to watch when it comes to trades in the upcoming future.
NBA analyst Amin Elhassan sat in on “Ball Don’t Lie” and spoke about the players the Heat could target in a trade.
According to a clip shared by Dru on Twitter, Elhassan suggested that the Heat could take a run at Donovan Mitchell, currently of the Cleveland Cavaliers, or might still have a chance at Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Someone who’s got the ability to get to the free throw line &/or get a surefire bucket, that’s a priority [for Miami]. I don’t know if Kyle Lowry alone is enough to make that happen. You then start talking about adding trade assets to make that happen. If you do that does that… pic.twitter.com/X7Hnz6hPcq

In the clip, he said that Lillard “may or may not be having the time of his life” playing with his new team.
There hasn’t been a lot of reporting from inside the Bucks so there is no way to know just how happy or dissatisfied Lillard currently is.
The Bucks are second in the East, which means this is the best team he’s been a part of in years.
But of course that doesn’t mean he’s 100% happy.
If Lillard did grow weary of playing in Milwaukee, there is no doubt that the Heat would leap at the chance to acquire him.
After all, that was their plan last summer when he made his choice to leave the Portland Trail Blazers and it didn’t end up happening.
It is unlikely that Lillard will leave the Bucks after such a short amount of time, which means the Heat will have to search elsewhere for another sharpshooting star.
Multiple players across the league fit the bill, but which one will they pursue if it’s too soon to pry Lillard away from the Bucks?
