Just a few weeks ago, many NBA fans were writing off the Los Angeles Clippers and felt this would be another lackluster season that saw them coming up short.

A lot has changed in a short amount of time and now the Clippers are looking sensational.

Speaking on “Run It Back,” former player Lou Williams made a bold claim.

“This team is healthy, all four of their star players are playing the game. I’ve got this team winning the West now,” Williams said.

“This is a deep basketball team and they’re figuring it out,” Williams added.

It is understandable why Williams would feel this way.

The Clippers have now won eight games in a row, which is a major change from the losing streak they experienced when James Harden first joined the team.

Speaking of Harden, he is proving to be a smart addition to the team now.

But Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are also playing incredibly well and Russell Westbrook has accepted his bench position and thrived with the team’s second unit.

Other players, such as Ivica Zubac, Terance Mann, and Norman Powell are also assisting LA in some big ways.

For the first time in years, the Clippers feel like a deep team.

And, more importantly, they are also healthy for a change.

Williams made sure to add that his prediction about the Clippers only applies if the team remains healthy all season.

That, of course, has always been a problem for the Clippers.

If they can avoid injuries and continue to play as they have been, the Clippers could keep climbing the rankings and surge into the playoffs, just like Williams has predicted.
