The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense has struggled mightily this season.
Nonetheless, Steve Spagnuolo’s defense has been stellar for most of the year, especially when it comes to limiting rival quarterbacks.
Unsurprisingly, a lot of that has had to do with superstar DL Chris Jones.
As pointed out by PFF KC Chiefs, Jones has logged an astonishing 20 quarterback pressures since Week 13, which is tied for first among defensive linemen during that stretch.

Jones is one of the most disruptive and physical defensive forces in the league and by a very significant margin.
The Chiefs haven’t had the season they hoped for, and it would’ve all been a whole lot worse if they had failed to reach an agreement with him.
Jones held out throughout the course of the entire offseason, and he even missed the season opener vs. the Detroit Lions as he kept pushing the front office to pay him what he felt he was worth.
Just when it seemed like things were getting ugly and Jones was reportedly ready to hold out for the season, they were able to strike a deal to appease him for the time being.
Now, he’s proven just why they were right to pay him what he asked for, and they simply cannot afford not having him on the field.
The front office will have to figure out a way to keep him on the team for longer, and that could mean trouble if they also intend to revamp their WR room, but he’s just too valuable for them to let go.
