Gilbert Arenas knows a few things about being suspended by the NBA so he’s the perfect person to advise Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.
According to a video shared by Josiah Johnson on Twitter, Arenas spoke directly to Morant on the latest episode of “Gil’s Arena.”
He told Morant to “grow with every experience you encounter” and noted that Morant could have lost his entire career recently if he was a bit older.
“You see how easily your whole life can be taken out of your hands,” Arenas said.

Morant is scheduled to make his season debut on Tuesday as his Grizzlies square off against the New Orleans Pelicans.
This concludes the lengthy 25-game suspension that was handed down by the league when he repeatedly brandished a firearm on social media during the summer.
Arenas is hopeful that Morant has grown from all of this and has really taken the steps needed to avoid anything like it in the future.
He is warning Morant that he might not get many more chances after this.
Arenas was suspended for most of the 2009-10 NBA season when he violated league rules about handguns and his career was never really the same after that.
He bounced around to a couple of teams after that incident and then played a bit overseas but his bad decision cost him a lot and stunted his progress.
If Morant doesn’t play his cards right, he could find himself in a similar situation.
Morant has said all the right things during his suspension and the team seems happy with his growth.
Now the next chapter begins and it’s time to see if Morant can stay dedicated to the changes he has made.
