Through 15 weeks, the San Francisco 49ers look like the best team in the NFL, and they should have no problem locking up the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

They’ve already proven they can easily handle the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, so they should feel great about themselves right now.

However, former NFL punter Pat McAfee believes that the Detroit Lions are a legitimate threat to take them down in the NFC.

McAfee believes that Dan Campbell has turned the culture around and that the team has grown sick and tired of being laughed at for the past 15 years.

DON’T LOOK NOW BUT HERE COMES THE BRAND NEW LIONS..

On top of that, he adds that C.J.Gardner-Johnson will have the defense ready to play because he’s a culture-setter everywhere he’s gone, so he believes this team could be a sneaky dark horse to come out of the NFC.

Truth be told, the Lions have been quite impressive in their wins.

Jared Goff has looked spectacular at times, especially at home, and they do have a plethora of young playmakers like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jahmyr Gibbs.

Still, they’ve also been exposed a couple of times in their losses, and some believe they have yet to prove that they can win against winning teams, even being run off the field by the Baltimore Ravens.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to think up too much negative about this team, and only time will tell whether they’re ready to get over the hump once and for all or not.
