The Los Angeles Dodgers must be thrilled with the offseason they have had so far.
They signed the crown jewel of free agency in two-time AL MVP Shohei Ohtani.
But that was just the start of many moves to come.
More recently, they acquired right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow from the Tampa Bay Rays.
He will help solidify the top of their rotation and bring them a dominant starter, which is something they were missing last season.
One part of that trade was contingent on Glasnow signing a long-term extension with the Dodgers.
It was an easy decision for Glasnow to agree to a long-term deal in LA.
According to AM 570 LA Sports, Glasnow said: “It was never about making as much as I possibly could… as long as I would be happy on and off the field.”

Glasnow was born in California, and he went to high school in Santa Clarita.
Playing for the Dodgers is a homecoming of sorts for the 31-year-old.
That must have played a big role in his decision to sign with them.
Also, the Dodgers are expected to be one of the best teams in baseball.
Glasnow has a chance to set career highs and win many awards in LA.
From a team standpoint, there seems to be a good chance that they will win at least one World Series over the next five seasons.
LA has made it clear they are far from done spending money this offseason.
With many great free agents still available, expect the Dodgers to continue to look for ways to improve.
