The Los Angeles Rams are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now as they’ve won four out of their last five games, with the lone loss coming in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Rams looked like they were punting on the 2023 NFL season after parting ways with several of their stars and veterans in the offseason, but the team has managed to speed up their rebuild after nailing several of their 2023 NFL Draft picks.
Head coach Sean McVay deserves a ton of credit for getting this team to where they are now, though Matthew Stafford also should get his fair share of praise.
Outside of a thumb injury that cost him a game, Stafford has been able to stay healthy and looks a lot like the quarterback who led Los Angeles to a Super Bowl win.
After beating the Washington Commanders in Week 15, the Rams hold the final Wild Card spot but Stafford and the rest of the team aren’t satisfied via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
“I don’t think anybody is satisfied at the moment, to be honest with you. And if you are, you’re in the wrong place. There’s a lot to be had throughout the rest of the season. We gotta take it one game at a time and we understand that,” Stafford said.

Los Angeles takes on the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, a pivotal game for both teams who are jockeying for playoff spots.
Stafford has been playing some of his best football as of late, and he’ll need to keep that level of play up if they hope to beat the Saints.
