The San Francisco 49ers are on track to have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

After recent losses from the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, as long as they win out, the 49ers clinch the NFC’s top seed.

There are several reasons for the 49ers’ dominance throughout the year.

Their defense has played as well, if not better than advertised, but their offense has been potent.

As ESPN reporter Nick Wagoner has recently highlighted, the 49ers have scored a touchdown in 13 of their last 14 red zone trips.

#49ers offense has been almost unstoppable in the red zone of late.

In past four games, they have scored a TD on 13 of their 14 red zone drives, an NFL best 93%. That includes 12 straight touchdowns.

The only field goal came midway through the Thanksgiving win in Seattle.

This is the best rate in the NFL, as they have converted touchdowns at a 93 percent rate.

During this stretch, Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy have further solidified themselves as MVP candidates.

Purdy leads the NFL in several passing categories, while McCaffrey is tied with Raheem Mostert for the most touchdowns in the league.

Both players have contributed to the 49ers’ success, a team in line to make a significant postseason run.

With a hopeful trip back to the NFC Championship on their radar, the 49ers must stay focused and persistent throughout the regular season.

They close out the season with matchups against the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, and Los Angeles Rams.

A loss in this stretch could be detrimental to the No. 1 seed in the conference, and two losses would be even worse.

This season is shaping to be one of the best in recent history, as several teams in the NFC and AFC still have a chance to better their playoff seeding.
