After a historic offensive performance against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15, when the Las Vegas Raiders scored a franchise-record 63 points in the win over their division rivals, Antonio Pierce and company will get back to work this week against another divisional opponent in the Kansas City Chiefs.

Even though the Raiders have a slim chance of making the NFL playoffs at this point, the team will still attack every game as a must-win situation, and it appears the team is highly motivated heading into this matchup with the defending Super Bowl champions on Christmas Day.

Whenever the Chiefs and Raiders go head-to-head in the regular season, it usually results in a hard-fought battle by both teams, even though Kansas City comes out on top more often than not.

In Week 16, the Raiders need to get the win, while the Chiefs will look to get their second straight win after losing three of their previous four games before the win over the New England Patriots.

Ahead of the matchup with the Chiefs, cornerback Jack Jones talked about the key to victory for the Raiders, which is all about stopping superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, via Levi Edwards of Raiders.com.

Jones is stating the obvious when it comes to stopping the Chiefs, as Kansas City’s success always goes along with how well Mahomes plays under center for head coach Andy Reid.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Raiders can carry over some momentum from their historic win over the Chargers in order to get the best of the defending champions on Christmas Day.
