The Dallas Cowboy’s Week 16 match on the road against the Miami Dolphins could define their season.
While the Cowboys are 10-4 and look like one of the best teams in the NFL, all four of Dallas’ losses have come away from their home stadium.
That’s concerning for a team that isn’t a lock to win the NFC East – meaning Dallas would play on the road throughout the NFC playoffs.
So if any team needed at least one home playoff game, it’s the Cowboys.
With that in mind, Fox Sports analyst Keyshawn Johnson expressed a lack of faith in the Cowboys down the stretch and in the postseason.
“Yes, at home Dallas scores points. You’re not at home. You’re 3-4 on the road. You’ve lost to all .500 teams,” Johnson said. “The three games that you did get blasted … they all ran the ball pretty well on you.”

This is a statement game for Dallas – not just to cement themselves as a Super Bowl contender but also to prove to the NFL they can win on the road.
But it might be tough considering the Cowboys’ home vs. away metrics.
As Johnson said, the Cowboys are 28th in run defense on the road and now face a Dolphins rushing attack that ranks fourth in rushing yards, first in yards per carry, and first in rushing touchdowns.
Miami also gets wideout Tyreek Hill back from a one-week absence with an ankle injury and averages a league-leading 31.5 points per game.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, average just 21.7 points on the road, compared to 39.8 points per game at home.
