The Buffalo Bills came into this season hoping to be considered a legitimate Super Bowl title contender and the team to come out on top in the AFC East division, which was expected to be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.
Unfortunately for Buffalo, the 2023 campaign has been rough, to say the least, with the Bills being inconsistent throughout the regular season and no one knowing what the identity of this team is nor if this squad can be a true contender in the AFC.
However, Josh Allen and company have been able to turn things around as of late, with the team getting some inspired wins over the last few weeks, leading to four wins in the last five games.
One of the main reasons for the team’s recent success and the Bills now sporting a record of 9-6 has been the play of Allen, who made NFL history in the win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night by becoming the first player in league history to score 40 or more touchdowns in four consecutive seasons, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

That’s an impressive feat, to say the least, especially with all the talented quarterbacks who have come through the league and haven’t been able to do what Allen has done during a four-year stretch.
In the win over the Chargers, Allen threw for a touchdown and ran for two more scores, as the Bills were barely able to get by a team that seemed determined to win after a devastating loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last week that resulted in the firing of head coach Brandon Staley.
With Allen playing at a high level right now and getting his team to rally around him, it’ll be interesting to see if the Bills can be a force to be reckoned with, with the NFL playoffs only a few weeks away.
