The Phoenix Suns were touted as one of the best teams in the Western Conference before the 2023-24 NBA season started.

However, over the course of the regular season, it has become clear that the Suns are simply not on that level, at least for now.

Although the Suns may have the Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal on the roster, the trio has hardly played any games together due to Beal’s consistent injury troubles.

Previously, the Suns were getting by behind the dynamic duo of Durant and Booker, but even the two superstars are seemingly finding it difficult to lead the organization to victories.

Following the team’s most recent defeat against the Dallas Mavericks, veteran Grayson Allen sent a message, via Duane Rankin on Twitter.

“We’ve got to keep a little bit more positive energy going,” Allen said.

Allen had a simple yet effective message for the entire team, as he wanted them to continue to flow positive energy despite suffering crucial losses.

The Suns couldn’t do that against the Mavericks, as the final score stood at 128-114 in favor of the away team.

Following the 14-point defeat, the Suns have now fallen to a 14-15 record.

They are still the 11th seed in the Western Conference with the NBA Christmas Day slate past us.

If the Suns want to salvage the remainder of the season, it’s the perfect time to do so.

However, it won’t be possible without Beal on the floor.

Beal is scheduled to be re-evaluated for his ankle injury in early January.
