The New York Knicks were one of the most mediocre teams for most of the 2010s decade.
But that has changed for the Knicks, primarily due to the addition of Jalen Brunson ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season.
The Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals in the 2023 postseason, albeit losing to the Miami Heat in the round.
As for the 2023-24 NBA season, the Knicks are aiming to finish even better than the previous campaign, and so far, they are succeeding in doing so.
So much so that Julius Randle is aiming for the Knicks to win the NBA Championship this season, as revealed via Shams Charania on Twitter.
“I want to win so bad. There’s nothing more that I want to do other than win a championship here in the city,” Randle said.

The Knicks are currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-12 record this season.
The organization recently registered a stunning 129-122 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day.
A key reason behind the Knicks’ success this season has been the elite performance of Randle.
Randle is averaging a solid 22.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game for the organization this season.
He is also shooting 46.4% from the field, but a somewhat underwhelming 29.3% from the three-point line.
Considering Randle’s excellent performance, the Knicks are certainly one of the favorites to be a dark horse and make a deep run in the postseason.
