The Green Bay Packers entered the 2023 season with several unknowns.
The fanbase was unsure what the team might look like in their first year with Jordan Love at the helm, casting concern for the upcoming year.
While there were initial doubts, Love has played well enough to earn the trust of his teammates and has started to gain favor in the public eye as well.
Phil Simms talked about this in a segment of “Up & Adams,” saying, “He’s throwing the ball better, he makes fairly good decisions, and it’s his first year starting.”

Simms said a lot to try and convince Packers fans that Love is their future, as he is more than confident in his abilities.
One of the biggest positives about Love’s game, at least in Simms’ mind, is that he’s throwing the ball “with a bit more power.”
This demonstrates how confident Love is in his abilities, something Simms was unsure of coming into the year.
While it is his first year as a full-time starter, he is learning a lot.
With any luck, the organization will give Love another opportunity to showcase his skills in 2024, allowing him to have the reins of this team again.
He has played well enough to allow the Packers to make the playoffs in Year 1, which many believed would not happen for this team.
For a quarterback with limited receiving help and not having a lot of veterans around him, Love has done enough, at least in Simms’ mind, to keep the job moving forward.
