The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the past two seasons.
They have dominated on both sides of the football, a big reason they are in contention for the NFC’s top seed again this year.
Despite being one of the best teams in the league, the Eagles continue to be shrouded in controversy.
Many analysts and teams across the league believe the Eagles have an unfair advantage and are doing everything possible to stop it.
The advantage in question is the “tush-push,” the quarterback sneak the Eagles often use to score touchdowns or to gain first downs.
Offensive lineman Lane Johnson recently appeared on “Good Morning Football,” where he discussed the controversy.
According to Johnson, “It’s not like it came out of nowhere; it’s just all of the sudden being talked about because we’re decent at it.”

Johnson and his teammates have expressed their frustrations with this play potentially being banned.
In their eyes, they aren’t doing anything illegal, but because this method has been successful, they could be punished for their success.
Jalen Hurts has been a big reason for the Eagles’ success at this play, given his overall strength, particularly his lower body.
Without him, this play likely wouldn’t be as effective, and it wouldn’t be as big of an issue as it currently is.
This decision has many moving parts, one that could come in the 2024 offseason.
Will the Eagles be able to make a strong enough case to keep this play around for the foreseeable future?
