Analyst Praises Pistons Star Amid Infamous Streak

The Detroit Pistons continue to add to their infamous losing streak.

They managed to take the Boston Celtics to overtime on Thursday but to no avail.

Even so, despite all the losses, Cade Cunningham continues to fight hard and give his best effort night in and night out, which is not an easy thing to do after you’ve dropped 28 games in a row.

That’s why NBA analyst Bill Simmons took to Twitter to praise him, as he’s elevated his game when his team needs him the most, all while most players would be mentally broken by such a terrible situation.

I’m so impressed with Cade. Watched him a bunch these last 2 weeks – the losing could have broken him and he went the other way and took it personally and elevated his game. He’s a good one.

Truth be told, most NBA stars would’ve already made it about themselves or made some unfortunate comments to the media.

Others would’ve already advocated for their coaches or teammates to get fired or traded or even requested a trade.

Cunningham, on the other hand, is facing the challenge chin-up, trying to do whatever it takes to get his team over this terrible hump.

And there’s a big difference between taking his game up a notch and just being more aggressive and hogging as many shots as he can handle; that hasn’t been the case.

He’s not trying to hero-ball his team back into a game or do everything on his own, and he’s trying to make everybody around him better.

It’s hard to wrap our heads around what’s gone wrong with this once-promising Pistons team.

They’re on pace to win the fewest games in a single season in NBA history (5), and fans just hope that doesn’t break these players mentally.
