Lamar Jackson has been one of the NFL’s most polarizing players since he entered the league.
Some analysts have been impressed with his rushing and passing abilities, while others have been unsure of his potential longevity.
Vic Fangio, the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator, sang Jackson’s praises before their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
According to Fangio, via Around The NFL: “The only other player that’s been like him in the last 50 years is Michael Vick. He’s a tremendous player.”

Fangio noted that Jackson is a difficult player to gameplan for, given his abilities to take off on the run at a moment’s notice.
While Jackson has received mixed reviews throughout his time in the NFL, Fangio believes he’s one of the league’s best quarterbacks.
Fangio also said that Jackson “makes their offense go,” something Vick used to do during his tenure in the league.
Vick was an electric passer and rusher, and while many thought he would have a short career, he ended up playing 13 seasons.
Jackson hopes to have a similar impact and that his body can hold up long enough to make it at least a decade in the league.
With Jackson under center, the Ravens should be in an excellent position to make a deep run in the playoffs.
If they secure a first-round bye this weekend by beating the Dolphins, their chances of returning to the Super Bowl get that much better.
Can Jackson help rewrite the narrative that shrouded him for the first half of his NFL career?
