The Atlanta Hawks made the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2020-21 NBA season, and many expected them to continue dominating the conference in the future.
However, the Hawks have failed to reach the same heights since the 2021 playoffs.
In fact, the Hawks have suffered back-to-back first-round exits in the postseason, and things are not getting easier for the organization in the 2023-24 NBA season.
After all, they aren’t exactly playing like a team that deserves a spot in the 2024 playoffs.
Veteran center Clint Capela recently shared his views on the team’s struggles via Kevin Chouinard on Twitter.
“We’ve just got to do a better job, and I don’t know, talk to each other? Scream at each other? I don’t know, we’ve got to do something,” Atlanta Hawks’ veteran Clint Capela said.
Clint Capela, on what it might take to get an emotional or psychological turnaround:
“It just gets harder and harder to take, honestly … We’ve just got to do a better job and I don’t know, talk to each other? Scream at each other? I don’t know, we’ve got to do something.” pic.twitter.com/JQlp7dSHLY

It’s obvious from Capela’s answer that he is feeling frustrated with how the Atlanta Hawks have played this season.
The organization is currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-19 record following the team’s most recent defeat at the hands of the Sacramento Kings.
With the defeat, the Hawks are now on a four-game losing streak.
Considering the poor situation, it’s only obvious that the team needs a vocal leader who can help the team get back in focus.
But looking at Clint Capela’s mentality, it’s obvious that he won’t be that player.
After all, Capela is completely clueless about what he should do to get the team out of the slump.
He simply knows that the Hawks need to do a better job when on the floor, but Capela has no strategy to actually help the team get back on track.
