With the start of the NFL playoffs being only a few weeks away, teams that are postseason-bound are doing everything within their power to bolster their rosters while trying to remain as healthy as possible.

After requesting to be released by the New York Jets, veteran running back Dalvin Cook became arguably the biggest name on the open market and a potential hot commodity among teams looking to add to their backfield ahead of the playoffs.

If Cook passes through waivers unclaimed, which is what is expected, he’ll become a free agent and able to sign with whatever team he wants, with the Dallas Cowboys potentially being a suitor for the four-time Pro Bowler.

According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, America’s Team could be on a short list of teams that might show interest in the veteran running back.

Fast Update: My understanding is that the Dallas #Cowboys will also consider potentially adding Dalvin Cook. Still evaluating.

We’ll see where other interest could also develop… https://t.co/0VQ0iFPs83

Along with the Cowboys, the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens might also show interest in the 28-year-old, as they were two teams that initially showed interest in him after he was released by the Minnesota Vikings before the 2023 NFL season got underway.

With all the health issues the Ravens have had in the backfield this season, it would make sense for them to bring in Cook to provide some insurance at the running back position.

All three of these title-contending teams make sense for Cook, but it remains to be seen which team will show the most interest or if he even gets signed after having a forgettable year with the Jets.
