The Los Angeles Lakers are going through a rough patch right now.

They’ve dropped nine of their past twelve games and three in a row, and there doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

That’s why it’s no surprise to see Shams Charania and Jovan Buha of The Athletic reporting that there’s a ‘growing disconnect’ between Darvin Ham and his locker room.

There’s currently a growing disconnect between Darvin Ham and Lakers locker room stemming from disjointedness around rotation and adjustments, per me and @jovanbuha.

The second-year coach has been either unable or unwilling to make timely in-game adjustments all season long.

He’s allowed other teams to go on big runs without calling a timeout, and the team is constantly digging it’s way back from a big deficit.

Ham has also failed to find a starting lineup that works for the team, and we’re just six games away from the midpoint of the season.

The coach also stated that he would keep LeBron James under a minute restriction after the first game of the season, yet that hasn’t been the case thus far, so it seems like his franchise player had a different idea.

Notably, power struggles have become a part of the LeBron James experience throughout the course of his career, as coaches are often left powerless once they get to coach one of the greatest players of all time.

LeBron fled the arena without addressing the media after Wednesday night’s loss to the Miami Heat, which obviously wasn’t a good sign.

Injuries aside, the Lakers have had plenty of time to adjust and see what works and what doesn’t, and that hasn’t been the case.
