The Denver Nuggets have had to deal with plenty of injuries this season, which has obviously limited their capacity to dominate the same way they did last year.
Nonetheless, they’re still one of the teams to beat in the league, and that simply doesn’t apply to Nikola Jokic.
The Serbian big man continues to be on a tear, playing like the best player in the world and making history almost every night he sets foot on the court.
That was even more evident after Action Network revealed the fact that he’s only missed a grand total of five shots over his past four games.

34 PTS | 13-16 FG (81.3%)
13 PTS | 6-7 FG (85.7%)
19 PTS | 9-10 FG (90%)

Jokic scored 34 points on 13-of-16 from the floor, 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting, 19 points on 9-of-10 from the field, and 26 points on a perfect 11-of-11.
Some might argue that this isn’t as impressive because he’s a big man, so he’s supposed to spend a lot of time in the paint, but that’s not actually the case.
Jokic scores from all three levels and pulls up from beyond the arc, and he’s currently shooting 56% from the floor and almost 35% from three-point territory.
As a matter of fact, he destroyed the Golden State Warriors’ ambitions by knocking down an epic, off-balance three-pointer from near halfcourt to beat them at the buzzer, so it’s not like he’s just attempting putbacks, layups, and dunks.
Nikola Jokic is a unique and special offensive kind of talent; he’s something we had never seen in the league before, and he’s become the blueprint for the modern-day big man.
