A couple of weeks ago, the Los Angeles Lakers were regarded as one of the favorites to at least clinch a spot in the 2024 playoffs.
However, since then, the Lakers have not been playing well.
The 17-time NBA champions are now on a four-game losing streak after their most recent defeat at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies.
After the defeat, Lakers guard Austin Reaves shared his views on losing yet another game this season via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.
“We gotta do better as players to affect them and miss shots,” Reaves said.

Despite having a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Anthony Davis on the roster, the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled to play elite defense this season.
The Purple and Gold were handed a 113-127 defeat despite LeBron James and Anthony Davis scoring more than 30 points in the game.
Following the defeat, the Lakers have slipped to the 11th seed in the West with a 17-19 record.
Considering the Lakers were touted as one of the favorites to win it all this season, being two games below the .500 mark is certainly not a good look for the organization.
It won’t be a surprise if the Lakers make a few changes to the roster around the NBA Trade Deadline and even contemplate firing head coach Darvin Ham to give the team a fresh start.
