LeBron James has been one of the best players in the league throughout his 20-year career in the NBA.

Even in Year 21, James is playing at an elite level and is undoubtedly one of the best players on the Lakers roster.

Unfortunately, as good as James has been in the twilight years of his career, he doesn’t have much to show for it in terms of team success in the NBA.

This season, the Los Angeles Lakers were expected to hit the ground running, instead, they are one of the worst teams in the Western Conference, with NBA All-Star weekend approaching fast.

Following the Lakers’ recent defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies, James didn’t sugarcoat his thoughts on the team’s current state of play via Dave McMenamin on Twitter.

“We suck right now,” James said.

In just four words, James gave an honest assessment of the Lakers’ recent play.

Speaking of their 113-127 defeat against the Grizzlies, James put up 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists for the Lakers.

While James’ numbers look great on paper, he struggled to shoot from the floor as he finished the night with 33.3% from the field.

The Lakers are now on a four-game losing streak as they slip to the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

The Lakers are in desperate need of help, as they have a 17-19 record in the West right now.

As of now, the Lakers are in search of someone who can save them from this slump and LeBron James is undoubtedly the favorite to rescue the team.
