The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of things to figure out ahead of the offseason.
One of those things has to be Josh Jacobs’ future.
They didn’t do right by their superstar running back, and they even risked not having him on the field because of a holdout.
Jacobs will now become an unrestricted free agent, but his value may have taken a massive dip after not being able to finish the season.
To make things even worse, now Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports that he’s set to miss his fourth consecutive game after already being ruled out for the season finale vs. the Denver Broncos.
Apparently, the former rushing champion has been dealing with two deep bone contusions that have restricted his range of motion, which is why the medical staff wasn’t able to clear him to play.

Pelissero adds that there’s no structural damage, and he’s expected to be back to full strength for the beginning of free agency.
Nonetheless, considering how cruel the running back market has been over the past couple of years, and the fact that not even his own team was willing to make a long-term commitment to him, it’s hard to envision him getting anything close to his true market value.
Jacobs is one of the most efficient, productive, and underrated running backs in the league when healthy, and even though he struggled to stay on the field this season, he’s always been durable as well.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to get what he deserves in his next contract.
